Royse City Paws was founded in May 2015 by three dedicated volunteers, the longtime volunteer veterinarian, and the newly hired ACO at the Royse City Animal Shelter. They were united in wanting to share their talents to do more, to save more, and make a bigger impact on the lives of the lost, abandoned, and neglected companion pets in and around Royse City. RC Paws is an independent all volunteer 501©3 public charity with a strong board of directors with community visibility and the common mission to save more Royse City animals.
Purpose: Primarily a fundraising organization, RC Paws raises money for medical needs, behavioral training, and more. RC Paws is not a rescue group and do not have the resources for foster assistance but do fundraise to support these types of animal advocate groups. At the heart of our mission are the companion pets at the RC Animal Shelter and the pets in our community. RC Paws raises money for Heartworm treatment of HW+ dogs in the shelter, for a Triage Fund for medical emergencies of injured shelter pets and maintains an Adoption Subsidy Fund. RC Paws offers a Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic every quarter totally run by volunteers. Every penny collected goes directly to help improve the lives of the animals who so desperately need it.
